The only planned city in India was designed by the French architect Le
Corbusier. The important sites are the Secretariat, Legislative Assembly
building, the Rock Garden, the artificial Sukhera Lake, the museum, the art
gallery and the rose garden claimed to be the largest in Asia and having more
than a thousand varieties of roses.
